Alternative League Scoring, Kyle Pitts, and a Tootsie's Addiction

Fantasy Genius is built for everyone in your league but today we’ll talk specifically about Fantasy Genius for ball knowers, power users, and folks whose fantasy football passion is a core part of their identity. Fantasy Genius offers multiple ways to “score” your league week to week. You’ve got your standard head-to-head style. A couple of alternatives that I believe get at who knows ball better are “median scoring” and “power ranking”.

For median scoring, you face 2 opponents each week. Your opponent & the league median score. Each week you have a chance for 2 Ws. Or 2 Ls. Or 1 of each. You get it…

Power ranking you play every team every week. In a 12-team league, you have 11 “games”. Score the 2nd highest in your league, you’ll go 10-1. Make every yard from every week matter.

Our home league's scoring is based on “Actual” rankings but we also award some end of year gifts to the power ranking champion. Fantasy Genius calculates all of this for you on your leagues home page so no need to tinker with any actual scoring settings in your league (or set up a complicated Excel sheet) to score it multiple ways!

Fantasy Genius for Fantasy Ball Knowers

Fantasy football is great because most of us pretend that we aren’t gigantic nerds. How could it be nerdy? It’s football…I’m a jock! I hate to be the one to break it to you but if you’re talking about target share, ADOT, VOR, or really any other acronym on advanced stats, you’ve probably got more in common with your average Dungeons & Dragons* player than you do with a football player.

But being a nerd is okay! Fantasy Genius is tailor made for you and has stats that you never knew you needed like our schedule simulator which will show you what your record would be if you had anyone else’s schedule in the league. 

Maybe you’re convinced that it wasn’t just you who had a down week in week 10. You think it was a league wide dip. With a glance you can see how this week's league performance compared to past weeks & confirm your hunch that week 10, was in fact, below the median week for the year.

*I have nothing against Dungeons & Dragons other than the fact that I think I’m too dumb to play.

Am I allowed to put my own posts in here? It’s truly unbelievable that we do this every year….Having said that, feels like there’s a unique opportunity with Kyle Pitts where people won’t draft him purely out of fear of being made fun of. That’s where he can fall to you….This is the year….
